INTRODUCTION TO WILD CAMPING
Here at AP Mountaineering, we are all about enabling you to have your own adventures which is why we love teaching navigation, winter skills & about wild camping.
Wild camping can seem daunting when you’re new to it. That’s why we are offering 2 day introductory courses. We aim to break it down with you, running through and discussing varying aspects of it. From picking a location, setting up camping, cooking, water supplies and of course… toileting!
WHAT TO EXPECT ON OVER THE 2 DAYS
Your days could look something like this with us working to the best of the weather and location.
PRE-COURSE ONLINE CHAT
A couple of weeks before we will organise an evening online chat for half an hour - 1 hour. This will be to run through any issues related to kit and discuss the rough plan for the 2 days.

Introductions & kit checks - we will spend some time before we head out to talk kit, check we all have what we need for the 2 days and grab any last minute supplies.
Discussion on picking your wild camping spots on a map & what to look for.
Travel to our starting location (potentially a short journey away and hopefully chasing the best weather!)
Walk into our chosen wild camping spot (potentially having to move to other locations)
Setting up camp & running through aspects such as water supply, cooking & toileting.
Enjoy the evening and remote area we are in before heading settling in for the night.
DAY 2
