Does your team get out into our remote areas of the UK, maybe even off the beaten track? Are they, for example, involved with site surveys and need more knowledge of using a map to travel to them safely or to interpret the landscape they are working in? Or do you want something different for a team-building day for your active team? We’re here to help give them the skills to safely get around in the hills, mountains and remote parts of the UK while having a great day out as a team.
Our customized navigation courses are designed to match your team's specific role & team requirements. Participants will receive ample practical training to ensure they feel confident using these skills during their work or in their free time. We cover map and compass usage in remote areas, as well as outdoor safety procedures. Your team will receive information regarding necessary gear, including what to wear and carry in case of an emergency, whom to contact, and how to handle such situations.
Corporate Navigation Course - Day 2, looking at strategy
Expert Guidance: Our knowledgeable guides are passionate about navigation and staying safe in the mountains. We will pass on the skills to get around safely in remote terrain while enjoying a day in the hills.
Tailored Courses: We understand that every team is different and will have different roles, requiring varying levels of navigation. We customise our courses to suit your team and give them the most useful skills to keep them safe while out.
Mountain Safety: We run through mountain safety, from kit to carry, how to contact help in remote areas, and having late back procedures in place.
Practice: Navigation is all about practice and we build this into every course, allowing teams not only to learn the techniques but to practice them repeatedly allowing confidence in their ability even after the course is finished. This will leave them ready for the site visits, wherever they go.
Team Building: These days are superb team-building events, with teams working together throughout the day to locate themselves, and problem-solve in the hills using the navigation skills.
Pentland Hills: We offer our corporate events out of the stunning Pentland Hills on the edge of Edinburgh. They are easily accessible from the Scottish Central belt and beyond. We utilise a range of locations within them to suit the level of navigation, from the basics to advanced.
